El barítono galés Bryn Terfel es nombrado caballero por la corona británica

El barítono galés Bryn Terfel ha sido nombrado 'Sir' (caballero) en la lista de honores de año nuevo 2017 de la corona británica por sus servicios a la música. El contratenor Iestyn Davies ha sido nombrado miembro de la Orden del Imperio Británico. Otros honores para la música clásica incluyen el nombramiento de caballeros del director principal de la Orquesta Sinfónica de Hamburgo, Jeffrey Tate, por sus servicios a la música británica en ultramar y del director de la Guildhall Escuela de Música y Drama, Barry Ife, por sus servicios a la educación de las Artes Escénicas.
